< Not so Secret Life of Pets> series

The <Not so Secret Lift of Pets> ink & watercolour series features 10 unique pieces of artworks in postcard size, completed for the Pameran Poskad 2018 charity exhibition. The series features prominent Singapore Architecture buildings as backdrops to 5 dogs and 5 cats. The paintings have been fully sold, of which proceeds have been donated to two charity organisations - for the stray dogs and stray cats. Current plans to convert the series into prints are on the way.

About Pameran Poskad 2018

Pameran Poskad 2018 invites people from all walks of life to a “Celebration of Creativity”.

It is an exhibition for anyone and everyone. Meaning ‘postcard exhibition’ in Malay, Pameran Poskad seeks to share the joy of experiencing art as creators, appreciators, and collectors. Some are internationally-renowned artists; others are students, professionals from all walks of life and even children!

A unique confluence of contemporary artists, art patrons, and emerging talents, this event hopes to encourage aspiring artists in their pursuit of creativity and bring the beauty of expression and imagination to everyone and anyone. It is a joy to discover our inner child. This instalment showcases 480 artists from 26 countries, including internationally-renowned artists like Grace Tan (Singapore), Teppei Kaneuji (Japan), Heri Dono (Indonesia) and Isabel Alfredo Aquilizan (Philippines).

Pameran Poskad is the brain child of Keyakismos - Eitaro Ogawa and Tamae Iwasaki - a husband and wife duo. Started in 2005, the ground-up initiative has led a creative movement in Singapore through the past five bi-annual rounds, bringing together enthusiasts, hobbyists and professionals through this platform. Some have been participating since the beginning and many others have joined this year’s event with family and friends.

In this exhibition, all types of works, ranging from two-dimensional prints, paintings and illustrations, to three-dimensional objects, ceramics and toys will be put on display - as long as they fit within a postcard-sized sleeve. The size restriction keeps the works small and compact, allowing greater accessibility for anyone to purchase and enjoy an original piece of artwork for many years to come.
